white power or black power???

Once in Carlos class we had to read two lectures relating razism that led into police brutality. After reading we had to make a little presentation showing an outline made in groups of 6 persons. I really liked the one Jhonatan and Florencia proposed, that was the one my group did. It was powerfully original even though this representation makes it looks like a five years old painting.
The big white circle represents the white world, which in its inside there is few yellow spots that represents the small blacks comunities who made their way through the white society. There should be noticed also blue spots that represent the police guarding those black comunities very closely. The blue spots outside the circle stand for the police that checks the black comunities living outside the white influence, most of them mainly live in poverty.
This setup can also work with stuff regarding the gorilla, but I will discuss that in another post. Coming back to the central theme. This white comunity propose integration but it practices the opposite. The same thing happens with the black comunity which demands even more integration but it does not believe in such thing. These both of them are polar to themselves, the old rides for mixing black and white are gone. The laws that support this have lost strenght. It is a pity to see that in a country such advanced and democratic as this one. They demand democracy in other countries of the world but do not focused like they should in their own.
Are the afroamerican people gaining power? For me candidate Obama should be elected president before the white lady candidate. It is the oportunity these people have been waiting for, and as I said I agree with the idea. Once that happens, if it happens of course, the things will look a little as they look in the time of Mr. Luther King which is a recomfortating idea. Still, even though I think it would help integration it will not be enough. These two races, the black and the white, are polar to each other. Even though their reasons are not the ones of an adult man I do not think that their children will go to the same school.
